Terms of service
Last updated June 13, 2026
These terms cover using Candor - as a recipient collecting feedback and as a giver leaving it. They're written to be readable; the short version is: be honest, don't abuse the channel, and we'll keep your data private.
Agreement
By using Candor you agree to these terms. If you're using Candor on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf.
The service
Candor provides a personal link and tools to collect, manage, and summarize feedback. We may change or improve features over time; we'll avoid breaking things you rely on without notice where we reasonably can.
Accounts
You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old. Choose a link slug in good faith - impersonating someone else is not allowed.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Candor to harass, threaten, or harm anyone, or to collect feedback under false pretenses.
- Don't use feedback requests to send spam or unsolicited bulk mail. Sending is rate-limited, and abuse (bounces, spam complaints) can pause or terminate sending.
- Don't attempt to de-anonymize givers, probe the anonymity system, or circumvent rate limits, blocks, or security controls.
- Don't upload unlawful content or violate others' rights.
Feedback content
Recipients own the feedback they receive and are responsible for how they use it. Givers are responsible for what they submit. We process content to operate the service and generate summaries within your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may remove or quarantine content that violates these terms or that our abuse systems flag.
Givers
Giving feedback requires no account. Sealed responses are anonymous by construction. Givers can delete a response within 24 hours of submitting. By submitting, givers grant the recipient the right to read and act on the feedback.
Plans, billing & trials
- Collecting feedback is free, including unlimited responses. Paid plans add automation, AI, and extended history.
- Paid plans bill in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Trials, where offered, require no card and convert only if you choose to subscribe.
- You can cancel anytime; you keep paid features through the end of the period. Downgrading hides paid features and history beyond the free window but does not delete your data. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Disclaimers
Candor is provided "as is." We don't warrant that feedback will be accurate, fair, or complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Feedback reflects the views of givers, not Candor.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Candor is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using Candor and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for other users, with notice where practical.
Changes, governing law & contact
We may update these terms and will note the date above; continued use means you accept the changes. Governing law and venue will be specified before launch. Questions: privacy@withcandor.app.
